Lauren Kelly
Lauren is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health Service Provider in the state of Tennessee. She received her B.A. from Lee University in Psychology and her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University.
She specializes in working with young girls and women from ages 10 to 35 who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, eating disorders, chronic dieting, and people with weight and body image concerns. Lauren works from a Health at Every Size approach, which values diversity and inclusivity of all bodies. As a practice focused on cultivating inclusivity and positive well-being, she affirms all people regardless of their age, weight, culture, disabilities, ethnic origin, gender, gender identity, marital status, nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status.
Lauren believes that restoration and healing are found through connection with others and understanding of self. By creating a safe and judgment free environment, Lauren strives to provide a space that fosters connection and understanding. In therapy sessions, she incorporates multiple therapeutic modalities to optimize her client`s insight and healing, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Expressive Arts Therapy.
