Frequently Asked QuestionsDo I need a referral to start counseling?
A referral is not required to start counseling.
How do I make my first appointment?

Please provide the requested information: name, date of birth, address, phone number, email address, reason for seeking counseling and the provider you are requesting.
The information will be entered in our portal. You will receive an email requesting that you complete the necessary paperwork.
Once the paperwork is complete, availabile appointment times with your requested provider will be offered.
What are your provider's hours?
Receptionist
Monday – Thursday, 8 am – 4 pm
Kim Stroud-Hendrick, LCSW
Tuesday: 8 am – 11 am (video or phone only)
Wednesday: 9 am – 4 pm (in office)
Denise Maynard, MMFT
Monday: 8 am – 4 pm
Thursday: 8 am – 4 pm
Friday: 8 am – 12 pm
(all of Denise’s hours can be in office, video, or phone)
Kaeli Banas, LPC
Tuesday: 11 am – 6 pm
Wednesday: 12 pm – 6 pm
Friday: 1 pm – 6 pm
Saturday: 9 am – 12 pm

How does couples counseling work?
Our couples counselor will meet with the couple together the first session. Following the initial session, the counselor will meet individually with each person for one session.

How long are the appointments?
Each appointment is 53 minutes.
How do online appointments work?
We use a HIPAA compliant platform for all online sessions. Telehealth appointments are available for residents of Tennessee through our secure client portal.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask that you provide us 24 hours’ notice for all non-emergency cancellations. Otherwise, you will be charged the provider’s current cash rate for the missed appointment.
